Hạ Long – City of environmental sustainability

In the past three quarters, around 2.2 million turns of tourists arrived Hạ Long Bay, the tourist attraction twice recognized as the World Heritage Site.

The prize awarding ceremony was held last night, October 08, in Hà Nội as part of the agenda of the ASEAN Environmental Ministerial Meeting.

The environment protect in the coastal tourist city of Hạ Long was assessed very effective, raising the city’s attractiveness to visitors.

The award is designed to highlight typical ASEAN cities with high environment quality and help raise the public awareness of environment protection and sustainable development.

Hạ Long were honored together with Bangkok (Thailand), Phnom Penh (Cambodia),  Luang Prabang  (Laos), Palembang (Indonesia) and others.
