CPI trends of the country and Hà Nội

Food and foodstuff have seen the fastest pace, increasing by 1.61% and 4.98% respectively. The main reason is that the torrential rains in late October harassed the transportation of these goods and flooded a large vegetable growing area, leading to the sudden and severe shortage and pushing the prices high.

Many other consumer goods have also slightly increased.

In November, the prices of some commodities like petroleum, gas, and gold have gone down compared to the previous month. Meanwhile the greenback price bounced back with the exchange rate of VND 17,000 per one US dollar, an increase of 2.67% against October.
