Imported COVID-19 cases account for over 63% of patient tally

VGP – Viet Nam has gone 93 straight days without recording new COVID-19 community infection case, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Among 382 patients confirmed so far in Viet Nam, 242 are imported cases quarantined immediately upon their arrivals.

As many as 357 patients have been cleared of the virus, making up 93.7% of the patient tally. Of the current patients, only 16 remain positive for the virus, said the committee.

The nation is putting 13,756 people, who have been in close contact with COVID-19 cases or come from the pandemic-hit areas, under medical surveillance, including 89 at hospitals, 13,190 at centralized quarantine sites and 486 at places of residence./.
