Italy praises VN’s achievements

VNGOP – A seminar under the theme “University cooperation between Việt Nam and Italy: Reality and Prospect” was held on March 11 in Torino by the Torino University, Vietnamese Embassy and the Center for Vietnamese Studies.

Addressing the seminar, Senate G.Vernetti, Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia, emphasized Việt Nam’s successes in renovation and international integration. Apart from socio-economic achievements, Việt Nam has been promoting its political reforms, he said.

The Vietnamese Government has a clear-sighted political line for religious freedom through its policy on relations with Vatican and other religions in Việt Nam, the Italian politician asserted, going on to consider that policy an example for other countries. On the occasion, Deputy Minister Vernitti confirmed Italy’s policy to continue its cooperation and assistance to Việt Nam.
