Mamprotech to produce stem cells in HCMC next year

VGP - Australia-invested Mamprotech Việt Nam has been licensed by the Hồ Chí Minh City Hi-Tech Park to research and develop the first stem cell project there with a total investment of US $11 million.

The company’s major business activities are to research, produce and trade in biomedical products such as proteins and diagnosis kits manufactured with cell and stem cell technologies.

In the short term, it will make biopharmaceuticals Interferon Beta and Erythropoietin used in the treatment of Hepatitis A and B, liver cancer and kidney cancer.

The firm will start the construction of the center for biotechnology, cell and stem cell research in 2010 and put it into operation within the year.
