Mid-term CG meeting to be held in June in Kiên Giang

VGP – The PM has just agreed that the Mid-term meeting 2010of the Consultative Group (CG) for Việt Nam will be held in Rạch Giá City of the Mekong Delta province of Kiên Giang on June 10-11.

The PM assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment to work with the World Bank and the Kiên Giang People’s Committee to prepare for the event.

The Mid-term CG meeting will be a forum for the Government and donors to share their opinions on Việt Nam’s socio-economic situations, review the realization of financial commitments made at the last CG meeting, and discuss measures to increase effectiveness of the aid.

The CG meeting 2009 wrapped up in December with the record ODA commitment of over US $8 billion for Việt Nam.
