More than 270 Vietnamese citizens return home from Malaysia

VGP – A flight carrying more than 270 Vietnamese citizens from Malaysia landed in Da Nang International Airport on Monday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The passengers include children aged 18 and below, seniors, students whose dormitories had been shut down due to COVID-19, workers and tourists with expired visa.

Last week, Viet Nam also repatriated 276 and 340 citizens from Canada and the US, respectively, said the foreign ministry.

All of the incoming passengers had to underwent medical checks before boarding and wear face masks throughout the flights.

Upon their arrivals, incoming passengers and crew members were sent to centralized quarantine camps and had their samples taken for COVID-19 testing as currently regulated by the Government.

The repatriation of Vietnamese citizens from foreign countries has been carried in accordance with the order of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, thus more of such flights will be arranged in coming days./.
