NA approves six laws

VNGOVNet – After their week-long adjourning for the APEC Leaders’ Meeting, the National Assembly resumed work on November 21. In the first working day after the break, the NA deputies ratified six laws with an overwhelming majority of approval. These are the laws on Donating, Receiving and Transplanting Human Tissues and Organs; Vocational Training; Physical Culture and Sports; Sending Laborers to Work Abroad; Gender Equality; and the Law to amend and supplement the Labor Code.

The approved Law on Donating, Receiving and Transplanting Human Tissues and Organs consists of six chapters and 40 articles stipulating the donation, reception, and transplant of human tissues and organs, and the donation and reception of corpses; the organization and operation of the bank of tissues and the National Regulating Center for Human Organ Transplant. The code will be applied to Vietnamese individuals and organizations; Vietnamese residing overseas; and foreign individuals and organizations involved in the donation, reception and transplant of human tissues and organs and donation and reception of corpses in Vietnam.

The Law on Vocational Training has 11 chapters and 92 articles defining the organization and operation of vocational training establishments; rights and obligations of individuals and organizations engaged in vocational training activities. The law is applicable to individuals and organizations directly and indirectly involved in vocational training activities in Vietnam.

The Law on Physical Culture and Sports consists of nine chapters and 79 articles stipulating the sports and physical culture organization and activities; rights and obligations of individuals and organizations taking part in sports and physical activities. It is applied to individuals and organizations directly and indirectly engaged in sports and physical culture activities in Vietnam.
