Chairman of the NA Economic Committee Nguyen Van Giau delivered the NA Standing Committee’s report on feedbacks and adjustments to draft amendments to the Land Law.

The draft amendments define more specifically the State’s rights and responsibilities and supplement several new regulations. They also include State agencies’ responsibilities related to land issues, regulations on recalling, allocating, leasing land and shifting land-use purposes, together with land users’ rights and responsibilities.

After being publicized by the mass media to collect the public’s comments, the draft amendments, particularly land prices, drew much attention. Accordingly, it is suggested that the State should fix prices for different land types, on which the provincial People’s Committees will issue their local prices. These prices will be adjusted only when the market has big changes.

The draft amendments are expectedly approved in this session./.
