No community transmission case of COVID-19 over last 16 days

VGP – Viet Nam has gone 16 days without new community transmission cases of COVID-19, the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported Saturday afternoon.

This means the country’s patient tally remain unchanged at 270, of whom 219 have recovered and exited hospitals.

As many as 30,517 people have been medically monitored after they had been in close contact with the infected ones. Of the figure, 244 are being quarantined at hospitals, 5,540 at centralized camps and 24,733 at places of residence.

The current 51 active cases are being treated at eight medical facilities across the nation, including 10 patients at provincial-level hospitals and one at district-level hospital.

Of the current cases, 12 have tested negative for the virus once and nine others tested negative at least twice said the steering committee./.
