Operation Smile returns to Hà Nội and Huế

VGP – To treat and educate pupils and students on dental diseases, a group of Việt Nam Dental Mission under the US-based organization Operation Smile will arrive in Hà Nội and Huế cities on March 19-28.

Since 1995, over 16,500 Vietnamese children have received assistance from Việt Nam Dental Mission

Hundreds of children and students in Hà Nội and Huế will have abundant chances to access treatment and information on dental care.

The group is divided into three working teams to operate in the Hà Nội Medical University and the Việt Nam-Cuba Hospital in Hà Nội; the Huế Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology; and five well-equipped vans.

Operation Smile was founded to improve health and life for children all over the world.

Since 1995, the program of Việt Nam Dental Mission has been annually carried out by Operation Smile for the purpose of providing dental treatment and education for Vietnamese children as well as sharing skills and experience with Vietnamese dentists.

Việt Nam Dental Mission has helped over 16,500 Vietnamese children with cleft lip and palate deformities through local and international surgical missions.

Last year, its volunteers treated around 5,000 patients with dental diseases in Hà Nội and Huế cities./.
