Over 700,000 people get jobs in first half

VGP - As much as 734,000 people found new jobs in the first six months of 2012, an increase of 2%, reported the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).

Of the figure, 695,000 people found jobs in the country and 39,000 others got jobs overseas as guest workers.

This is a good news for the country in the context of economic hardships.

A range of activities have been organized to publicize information on employment. In the first six months of this year, over 300 job fairs were held in 44 cities and provinces, double the number held last year.

MoLISA Deputy Minister Nguyen Ngoc Phi said that in the next six months, the ministry will boost labor export to new market like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Finland and Switzerland./.
