PetroVietnam: 3.7 billion cu.m of gas for power plants annually

The figure represents a two-fold increase over the contracted amount that the group signed with Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) - the country’s largest power producer.

Total output of natural gas of the nation's existing oil fields can reach between 12.2-15.3 billion cu.m per year, according to PetroVietnam's surveys.

Vietnam’s oilfields are estimated to hold from 3.3-4.4 billion cu.m of oil equivalent, 55-60 percent of which is natural gas.
