PM agrees to borrow from ADB for teacher development project

VNGOVNet – Following the recommendations from the State Bank of Vietnam based on the negotiation results achieved with the ADB about a loan from the latter for a project on development of senior secondary and technical school teachers, the PM on January 30 approved a draft agreement and other documents related to the loan.

The PM assigned the Ministry of Education and Training (MET) to prepare, appraise and decide the project in consultation with ideas from the relevant ministries and agencies to ensure that the decision is not against what has been achieved in negotiation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

He authorized the Governor of the State Bank to represent the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to sign the Loan Agreement with the ADB.
