PM approves ADB-funded project

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the Greater Mekong Subregion communicable diseases control project, second phase, funded by the Asian Development Bank.

The overall objective of the project is to reduce the rate of contraction and death caused by infectious disease, enhance national surveillance and coordination capacity among regional countries, and improve public health in the region.

The Ministry of Health is responsible for the implementation of the project which will be carried out from 2015 and 2016.

The total capital for the project is nearly US$ 2.5 million, including US$250,000 contributed by the Vietnamese Government./.
