Talking to
residents in Duy Ninh Commune, Quảng Ninh District, QuảngBìnhProvince,
the PM showed his
sympathy to sufferings of the local people and called them to highlight mutual assistance
in overcoming difficulties, recovering production and daily activities.
PM Dũng
stated that the Party and State would give relief to the victims.
He urged
local authorities and relevant forces to seek for the missing people, repair
damaged houses, secure
necessities for all people, and prevent epidemics in flood-hit areas.
During the
recent fatal floods, Quảng Bình has reported 59 people dead and missing, 45 injured, and a total material loss
of nearly 1,300 billion.
Duy Ninh is one of the worst affected communes, where 99% of households were submerged.
So
far, the provincial government has allocated VND 28.5 billion as emergency relief for the
victims.
