In his encounter with Queen Margrethe II, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng said he was pleased to welcome the Queen, her spouse and their crown prince to Việt Nam in November, assuring that Việt Nam would do its utmost to make the Danish Royal Family’s upcoming visit a great success.

The Vietnamese Government chief took the occasion to thank Denmark for its support to Việt Nam’s struggle for national salvation and reunification in the past and the cause of national development at present.

Denmark’s valuable aid has contributed to Việt Nam’s fruitful poverty reduction and international economic integration over the past time, said PM Dũng.

Both the host and the guest agreed that the two countries should deepen mutual understanding and trust as well as multifaceted cooperation in order to advance to the Partnership for Development in the 21st century.

Meeting Mr. Thor Pederson, Speaker of the Danish Parliament, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng reiterated that Denmark’s ODA for Việt Nam has been fruitfully used in priority fields, such as poverty reduction and socio-economic development.

Highly valuing the northern European country’s new package of US $40 million to help Việt Nam respond to climate change, PM Dũng solemnly asked the legislative body of Denmark and Speaker Thor Pederson to back the granting of ODA for Việt Nam, even after 2013.
