PM exchanges phone call with Japanese counterpart

On behalf of the Vietnamese Government and people, PM Dung congratulated the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan as well as PM Shinzo Abe on winning Japan’s upper house poll, which reflects the Japanese people’s support and trust for the Government led by PM Abe.

PM Abe extended his sincere thanks to the Vietnamese Government and people, asserting that Japanese Government treasures its relations with Viet Nam - a reliable partner in the region.

The two PMs affirmed that they would work closely to upgrade the Viet Nam-Japan strategic partnership to new heights for the sake of the two peoples and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the Asia-Pacific region and the world as well.

They also agreed to maintain regular exchange of high-ranking visits and contacts, launch effectively dialogues on specific cooperative fields, and shape the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Viet Nam-Japan Cooperation Committee.

The two leaders also agreed to closely coordinate in organizing activities during the Viet Nam-Japan Friendship Year 2013 on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.

Both sides exchanged views on some of international and regional issues of mutual concerns and agreed to boost up the ASEAN–Japan relationship./.
