PM gives nods to some foreign funded projects

VGP - PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng just ratified a protocol of the technical assistance project on business activities with poor rural residents in Cao Bằng, between the Governments of Việt Nam and Luxembourg. The European country will provide a non-refundable fund for the project.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) is assigned to sign the above protocol with authorized representative of the Government of Luxembourg.

* The PM gave nod to the contents of an agreement on opening credits and another agreement on sponsoring the project "Lending private economic sector through people’s funds" financed by the French Development Agency (AFD)

* PM Dũng agreed to add the project on improving capacity and reforming policies to mitigate risks caused by          pesticides to the list of project to be funded by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) within the period of 2006-2010. Accordingly, FAO would freely grant US $1.8 million to the project.

He ratified the portfolio of the Germany-sponsored project on development of Đà Nẵng as a city of environment.

* The Government chief also approved the project on developing rural infrastructure in the districts of Ninh Sơn and Ninh Hải, Ninh Thuận Province.

The project is added to the glossary funded by the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID with US $15 million.
