PM Phuc visits oldest university in Canada

VGP - PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Friday came to visit Laval University-the oldest university in Canada, located in Quebec city, right after arriving in the country for the expanded G7 Summit.

The Government chief was impressed with the university’s research and innovation achievements as well as its training programs.

He was also pleased to know that many Vietnamese students have learned at this well-known university and some of them have become professors and experts who have made numerous contribution to development in Viet Nam.

Viet Nam is gearing up national development through industrialization and modernization, said PM Phuc.

He spoke highly of Canada’s active support for Viet Nam, especially in such fields like development policies, energy, healthcare, and environment.

PM Phuc expressed his hope Laval University and other research institutions of Canada to conduct more specific cooperative activities in scientific research and innovation with Viet Nam./.
