PM wants reports on implementation of ADB projects

VGP – The PM entrusted the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), the State Bank of Việt Nam and relevant agencies to make reports on the realization of ADB-funded projects in 2009.

The Government chief also asked the MPI to review the ongoing projects in the provinces recently hit by tropical storms and then discuss with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) about additional funds for mitigating the outcomes.

Earlier, on October 26, Deputy Minister of Transport Ngô Đức Thịnh presided over a meeting with representatives of ADB, focusing on the implementation of projects using ADB’s loans.

The meeting also proposed solutions to accelerate many key infrastructure projects, including the Hà Nội–Lạng Sơn Expressway, the Hồ Chí Minh City–Long Thành–Dầu Giây Highway, the Nội Bài–Lào Cai Expressway and the Yên Viên–Lào Cai Rail Route.
