PM welcomes new diplomats

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung on November 28 in Ha Noi separately received Mongolian Ambassador Dorj Enkhbat and Nigerian Ambassador Ojih Okafor who have assumed offices in Viet Nam.

PM Dung affirmed that Viet Nam always attaches importance to the cooperative ties with Mongolia and supports closer relations between the Central Asian country and ASEAN.

He proposed the two sides early convene the meeting of the Inter-governmental Committee to strengthen linkages in the aspects of economics, labor, education and training.

PM Dung also hoped that Ambassador Dorj Enkhbat would serve as a bridge to cement and deepen the traditional ties between the two countries.

For his part, Ambassador Dorj Enkhbat said that the Government and people of Mongolia expect to beef up relations with Viet Nam. The diplomat promised to accelerate bilateral economic and trade cooperation during his term in Viet Nam.

Welcoming Nigerian Ambassador Mazi Matthias Ojih Okafor, PM Dung emphasized that Viet Nam highly values the cooperative ties with Nigeria for mutual benefits.

The host leader recommended the two sides strengthen reciprocal visits to consolidate mutual understanding; quickly sign agreements on investment protection and double taxation avoidance while boosting cooperation in advantageous fields like agriculture, petroleum, IT.

Ambassador Mazi Matthias Ojih Okafor said that he was impressed with the socio-economic achievements that Viet Nam has attained, especially in agricultural domain./.
