The success is resulted from an in-dept research program under a protocol between Việt Nam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) on growing Ngọc Linh ginseng as raw material for the production of medicines.

The advanced technology has been profitably applied in other countries including the US, Japan, and RoK to produce plant-based active substances.

The Vietnamese scientists are now capable of multiple the ginseng from a single cell of the parent plant’s root. A great mass can be produced within 10-20 days.

Active substances extracted from Ngọc Linh ginseng biomass are similar to natural ones.

The successful cultivation of Ngọc Linh ginseng cells not only serves medical purposes but also helps conserve a source of precious gene.

Ngọc Linh ginseng, scientifically named Panax vietnamensis, is listed in the world’s top-five of rare ginsengs and in Việt Nam’s Red Book.

It helps to improve health as well as physical strength, strengthen memory, prevent stress, and treat liver, stomach diseases and cancers.
