Quảng Ninh to host 2013 VN film festival

VGP – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has agreed to organize the 18th Việt Nam Film Festival in 2013 in the northern province of Quảng Ninh.

The 17^th Việt Nam Film Festival will be held in the central province of Phú Yên from December 13-16 this year.

The first Việt Nam Film Festival was held from August 18 to August 25, 1970 in Hà Nội, with the aim of encouraging the development of the national film making industry.

The most prestigious prize of the festival is the Golden Lotus (Bông sen vàng). There will also be the Silver Lotus and the Special Prize of Jury.
