Queensland plays an important role in VN-Australia relationship

State President Nguyễn Minh Triết expressed his belief that the cooperation between Queensland and Vietnam’s localities will be cemented and deepened in the time to come.

Vietnam always welcomed Australian investors and is trying best to create a more open and attractive environment for foreign investors, the Head of State said.

President Nguyễn Minh Triết suggested Vietnam and Australia to further share and discuss issues of common concerns through high-level dialogues as well as ministerial or local level meetings in order to better the bilateral relationship in the future.

The President confirmed that Vietnam always considers Australia an important partner and wants to maintain a comprehensive long-standing and sustainable cooperation, both bilateral and multilateral, on the basis of mutual benefits.

Envoy Tom Burns stated that all members of the Queensland delegation were very impressed by Vietnam as a safe destination for foreign investors and tourists. At present, over 50 Queensland businesses are cooperating with Vietnamese partners and they plan to publish a book on Vietnam’s investment opportunities and environment, the guest informed.
