State and Gov’t leaders to visit some countries in September

VNGOP – According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), State President Nguyễn Minh Triết and PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng will have tours to some countries in September.

At the invitation of Australian PM John Howard, State President Nguyễn Minh Triết will attend the 15th APEC Economic Leaders Meeting held in Sydney, Australia, on September 6-9, 2007 under the theme "Strengthening our Community, Building a Sustainable Future ".

The State President will pay an official visit to New Zealand on September 10-12 at the invitation of PM Helen Clark. This will be the first visit to New Zealand made by a Vietnamese State President since the diplomatic tie establishment on June 19, 1975.

The MoFA also revealed that, at the invitation of Malaysian PM Abdullah Ahmed Badawi, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng will present at the 50th anniversary of the Independence Day of Malaysia organized in Kuala Lumpur on August 30-September 1.
