The State President reaffirmed Việt Nam’s policy to strengthen and develop relations with China in line with the “16-letter” motto and “four-best” spirit under high-level commitments and pursue the “one-China” position.
“Việt Nam is following its unswerving external affairs policy of independence, self-reliance and multi-lateralisation, under which Việt Nam is willing to befriend and become a trusted partner with all other countries over the world,” emphasised President Triết.
He also pledged to work with China to promote ties between the two Parties, States and peoples as well as to maintain and develop their neighbourliness, comradeship and friendship.
The State leader welcomed the agreement of cooperation freshly signed by the two armies’ political departments, thus further deepening the defence ties between Việt Nam and China in a sustainable way.
The Chinese guest noted that the new agreement of cooperation on Party and political work in the army not only carries the definition of principles but is also of high feasibility.
The General Political Department of the Chinese PLA is determined to effectively materialise the accord, said the Department chief Li.
