Storm Utor to reach East Sea

VGP - Storm Utor is expected to hit the East Sea area this afternoon, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

Winds near the eye of the storm are expected to reach 150-183km per hour, with the storm moving in a northwesterly direction and posing a potential threat during the next several days.

The storm has already resulted in heavy rains and flash flooding that left at least 23 people missing in the Philippines, the AFP reported.

In Viet Nam, heavy rains in southern provinces and the Central Highlands are expected during the next couple of days./.
