At present, Viet Nam is among 40 countries around the world experimenting vaccine trials on humans. Four vaccines are now under development by local producers namely Nanogen, the Institute of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (IVAC), Vaccine and Biological Production Company No. 1 (Vabiotech) and the Center for Research and Production of Vaccines and Biologicals (Polyvac).
