Two new cases of Covid-19 bring patient tally to 1,397

VGP – Two Vietnamese were confirmed positive for Covid-19 on Sunday, taking the patient tally to 1,397.

Patient 1,396 is a 21-year-old man in Nam Ha Commune, Lam Ha District of the central highlands of Lam Dong.

He took flight VN319 from Japan to the central city of Da Nang on November 28.

The patient is being treated at the Da Nang Hospital for Lung Diseases.

Patient 1,397 is a 19-year-old woman in Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District of Da Nang City.

She flew from the Republic of Korea to Da Nang on December 1.

The patient is being treated at the Da Nang Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

The same day, three more patients were declared free of Covid-19, raising the number of recoveries to 1,241.

The nation is placing 19,992 people, who were repatriated from abroad or came in contact with Covid-19 patient, under medical surveillance and quarantine. Of these, 209 are kept at hospitals, 15,593 at centralized quarantine camps, and 4,190 at places of residence./.
