The VinaCapital Foundation and the US organization “Giving It Back To Kids” sign an aid of  US $300,000 for the child heart surgery program in Central Việt Nam, Đà Nẵng City,  July 16

For the past three years, thanks to the VCF’s assistance, GIBTK implemented surgeries saving more than 100 poor children in Central Việt Nam.

Through the newly-inked package, over 1,200 children in Đà Nẵng, Quảng Ngãi and Quy Nhơn will be assisted in the next five years.

According to the statistics given by the VCF, more than 10,000 Vietnamese kids need to have heart surgeries. However, domestic health centers can serve 50% of them and the expenditure for a heart surgery, around US$ 3,000, is too high for a Vietnamese poor family to afford.

The founder of GIBTK, Mr. Robert Kalatschan acclaimed that his organization will carry out surgeries by establishing mobile consulting rooms.

GIBTK was founded in 2002 in the US with the aim of assisting children in education, health care and nutrition. In Việt Nam, VCF is the main sponsor for GIBTK. VCF is the non-profit organization set up by VinaCapital in 2006, focusing on charitable activities and community accountabilities.
