Viet Nam reports 197 new COVID-19 cases, 182 recoveries

VGP – Viet Nam lodged 197 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday evening, bringing the national caseload to 15,643.

The latest patients include nine Vietnamese returnees from Russia (two) and a neighboring country (seven), according to the Ministry of Health.

All the others are domestic infection cases in Ho Chi Minh City (95), Binh Duong (36), Bac Giang (15), Quang Ngai (15), Phu Yen (8), Hung Yen (7), Bac Ninh (6), Nghe An (4), and Da Nang (2). Of these 170 cases were recorded in quarantine facilities or lockdown areas.

The ministry also announced 182 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the total number of recovered cases to 6,319.

With two more Coronavirus-related fatalities reported the same day, the death toll rose to 76./.
