Viet Nam reports two community infection cases of COVID-19

VGP - The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control confirmed two community infection cases of COVID-19 this morning, raising the patient tally to 1,553

Patient 1552 is a 34-year-old woman in Hung Dao commune, Chi Linh city of the northern province of Hai Duong.

She came in close contact with another woman who had tested positive for COVID-19 in Osaka after leaving Viet Nam.

The latest patient is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 1553 is a 31-year-old man in Hong Ha ward, Ha Long city of the northern province of Quang Ninh.

He is  being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, head of the steering committee, and Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long convened online meeting with leaders of Hai Duong and Quang Ninh Provinces on Wednesday night to learn about measures deployed these localities to contain the outbreaks.
