Vietnamese, Mexican parties agree to boost ties

Mr. Gutierrez informed Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong about the results of cooperation between the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) and the PT, including programs on growing rice and coconut in Mexico and nopal in Viet Nam, acupuncture programs that have treated 250,000 poor Mexican people, discussions about theories and experience in propagation and education, and nursery education.

Mr. Gutierrez proposed some measures to bolster the friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two parties and the two peoples.

Earlier, the PT delegation held talks with a CPV delegation led by Mr. Hoang Binh Quan, Director of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations. The two sides touched upon measures to strengthen cooperation between the two sides.

On the occasion, the Vietnamese Party and State presented a Friendship Order to Mr. Gutierrez in recognition of his contributions to solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two parties and the two countries.
