Vinashin to spend VND 3.2 trillion on central seaport

VNGOP – The Việt Nam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin) plans to spend VND 3.2 trillion (US$ 200 million) on upgrading the Cửa Việt seaport in central Quảng Trị province.

From now to 2010, as much as VND 1.6 trillion will be set aside for the construction of a 100-ha shipyard in Triệu Phong district that lays to the south of the Cửa Việt port.

The company will also spend VND 1 trillion on ecotourism facilities and a golf course as well as VND 600 million on a wharf to accommodate 100,000 tonne ships.
