VN, Belarus enhance bilateral cooperation

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung and his Belarusian counterpart Andrei Kobyakov agreed a number of measures to promote bilateral cooperation in the future, especially in the context that the Viet Nam-Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement (VN-EEU FTA) is going to take effect.

The two PMs reached the agreement at their meeting on May 29 on the sidelines of the official signing ceremony of the VN-EEU FTA.

The two leaders highlighted the importance of maintaining the traditional and cooperative relations.

Viet Nam attached importance to the relations with Belarus, PM Dung confirmed, expressing his hope that the bilateral relations will be promoted in all fields of economics, trade and investment.

He thanked the assistance of the Belarusian Government and people for Viet Nam in the national construction and development.

The two PMs advocated the maintenance of marine and aeronautical peace, stability, security, safety and freedom in the East Sea, proposing all sides handle disputes with peaceful measures, following international law.

They consented to improve the effectiveness of the Inter-Governmental Committee on economics, trade and science-technology.

Belarus confirmed the creation of favorable conditions for Viet Nam to export its advantageous items to Belarus in the future.

PM Dung regarded the signing the FTA as a breakthrough to step up the cooperation between Viet Nam and the EEU, suggesting the two sides’ ministries and agencies effectively launch the agreement to bring as many benefits as possible for both.

The Vietnamese PM thanked the Belarusian Government for helping the Vietnamese community stabilize their lives in Belarus.
