VN calls on Japan to focus ODA on education projects

VGP - Deputy PM Nguyễn Thiện Nhân has asked the Japanese side to focus its official assistance development on Việt Nam’s ten prioritized education projects.

The Deputy PM made the statement while receiving Japanese Ambassador to Việt Nam Tanizaki Yasuaki in Hà Nội on Monday.

Deputy PM Nhân said he hoped that Japan would continue its assistance to Việt Nam’s educational sector, including the upgrading of Cần Thơ University to turn it out as one of the best universities in the country.

Ambassador Tanizaki  Yasuaki affirmed Japan’s continued efforts to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese side to speed up joint educational and vocational projects.

He informed the host about the Japanese Minister of Culture’s visit to Việt Nam in early January next year to discuss Việt Nam’s list of education projects to be prioritized for ODA.
