VN confirms one more case of Covid-19, patient tally reaches 1,367

VGP – A Vietnamese woman brought home from Russia became the latest case of Covid-19 on Monday, raising the patient tally to 1,367.

The woman, aged 29, landed at Da Nang airport on December 6 and was quarantined in the central city.

She is being treated at the Da Nang Hospital for Lung Diseases

The same day, four more patients were declared free of the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 1,224.

On global scale, the total infection cases surpassed 66 million in 220 countries and territories, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.

Since the beginning of December, there have been 3.8 million new cases, accounting for 5.7% of the world’s total patients.

The U.S. is hit hardest with 14,983,425 infection cases, including 287,852 deaths, followed by India with 9,664,529 infection cases, including 140,216 deaths.

In Southeast Asia, Indonesia is the biggest hotspot with 575,796 infection cases, followed by the Philippines with 439,834 cases and Singapore with 58,260 cases./.
