VN, Cuba deepen comprehensive cooperation

VNGOVNet – Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng had a reception in the afternoon of March 1 to the visiting Cuban Minister of Government, Ricacdo Cabrisas Ruiz, who is the Chairman of the Cuban Subcommittee in the Cuba-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee (CVIC).

In the reception, Minister Ricacdo Cabrisas Ruiz claimed that, through the CVIC meetings, the Cuba-Vietnam cooperation is increasingly deepened, especially in trade and economy, with better conditions and greater potentialities for further development. The guest said that the Cuban Government and people greatly appreciate Vietnam’s good sentiments and multifaceted support over the past time.

Standing Deputy Nguyễn Sinh Hùng highly valued the CVIC’s effective performance. He suggested the Committee to contribute to the deepened relation between the two countries and facilitate the Cuban and Vietnamese enterprises’ investment and business cooperation on the basis of mutual benefits.

The two sides agreed that Vietnam and Cuba should focus on such fields as energy, gas and oil, healthcare and biotechnology.

It is expected that the 25th CVIC meeting will be convened in La Havana, Cuba.
