VN, Denmark strengthen cooperation in economy, trade and investment

VNGOVNet – The Vietnamese Government always encourages and gives good conditions for foreign investors to do business in Vietnam, stated Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng in the reception to the visiting Danish Permanent Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Ulrik Federspiel in the March 28 afternoon in Hanoi.

In the reception, Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng informed Mr. Ulrik Federspiel about Vietnam’s socio-economic situation over the past time.

He reconfirmed the Government’s policy to create an open and equal environment for all investors, Vietnamese and foreign. At present, about 6,000 foreign enterprises are doing investment in Vietnam, and many of them have succeeded, revealed the Deputy PM.

Danish Permanent Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Ulrik Federspiel revealed that he had looked forward to the visit to Vietnam in order to study the country’s preparations for international economic integration.

He was convinced that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries will be further developed towards new trends in investment and trade.

Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng emphasized that, Vietnam wants to bring into play her internal strengths to cooperate with other countries in most fruitfully manner. The country is now entering a comprehensive international economic integration, said the host.

He added that economic growth is closely associated to the settlement of social issues for the country’s sustainable and stable development.

About 60 Danish enterprises are now investing in Vietnam and others pay attention to this potential market. Annually, Denmark grants Vietnam US$ 60-70 million. Danish investment projects have considerably contributed to the development of food industry, heavy industries, services as well as human resource.
