VN hails Myanmar’s national referendum plan

VNGOP – Việt Nam praises the Myanmar State Peace and Development Council’s (SPDC) February 9 announcement, considering it an important step forward made by the Myanmar Government in an effort to develop the country, said the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesman.

Spokesman Lê Dũng made the statement on February 21 while talking about Việt Nam’s stance regarding the plan of the SPDC on holding a national referendum this May.

"Việt Nam supports Myanmar’s reconciliation and national harmony process as well as dialogues between relevant parties,” Mr. Lê Dũng emphasized.
