VN joins Asia Cruise Service Network

VGP - Seventeen regional tourism and travel agencies just met in Bangkok, Thailand, and agreed to set up the Asia Cruise Services Network (ACSN) with a view to boosting up regional cooperation and development in this promising industry.

Beside SEA Tours (Thailand), other founding members of the ACSN include Saigontourist from Việt Nam, JTB (Japan), Aju Incentive Tours (Republic of Korea), PC Tours (Hong Kong), Bali Triloka Candra (Indonesia), Asian Overland Services (Malaysia), First Travel (Cambodia), Anglo-French Travel (Singapore), Myanmar Voyages (Myanmar), Micato India (India), and Gemini Tours (Sri Lanka).

In the intitial stage, ACSN members can take their customers to 21 seaports in Asia. They are seeking for new destinations for their clients.

According to Mr. Krai Panyarachun, who was elected to the President of ACSN, the Network will map out business strategies and action plans for 2010 and launch a website to introduce itselft to the world.

The establishment of ACSN represents great efforts of the regional travel agencies to stand side by side amid the global economic downturn.
