VN records one new COVID-19 imported case, total rises to 951

VGP – A 27-year old man, returning from Equatorial Guinea, has been confirmed as the 951st COVID-19 infection case this morning, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Among 951 COVID-19 infection cases in Viet Nam, 334 imported cases are sent for medical quarantine upon their arrivals.

The latest patient, residing in Yen Thanh, Nghe An Province, took the flight VN6 from Equatorial Guinea to Ha Noi based-Noi Bai International Airport on July 29.

Upon his arrival, he was sent for medical quarantine at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District, Ha Noi.

The Steering Committee also reported 10 more COVID-19 patients in the pandemic hotspot of Da Nang City were declared clear of the virus including nine in Hoa Vang Medical Facility and one in Da Nang Lung Hospital, raising the total number of recovered patients to 447, accounting for 46% of the country's patient tally./.
