VN repatriates 340 citizens from Russia

VGP – A Viet Nam Airlines' flight carrying 340 Vietnamese citizens from Russia landed at Van Don International Airport in the northern province of Quang Ninh on May 13, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Vietnamese citizens return from Russia.

The passengers include under-18 children, seniors, students whose dormitories had been shut down due to COVID-19, workers and tourists with expired visa.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia coordianted with the host country's functional agencies to take the passengers to Sheremetyevo aiport in Moskva and sent officials to the airport to directly support Vietnamese citizens. 

Viet Nam Airlines has strictly implemented measures to ensure security, safety, sanitary and phytosanitary throughout the flight.  

Upon their arrival at the Van Don aiport, the passengers and crew members were sent to centralized quarantine camps as regulated.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Transport, domestic functional agencies, Vietnamese representative missions abroad and Viet Nam’s airlines will continue such kind of flights to take Vietnamese home in line with the direction of the Prime Minister./.
