At a meeting on humanitarian situation in Libya held on March 10 by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the Ambassador stated that Việt Nam was one of the 47 countries having citizens in Libya when the humanitarian crisis happened and that it was also one of the first countries which had already evacuated all of its citizens from the Libya.

Along with efforts to evacuate its citizens from Libya, the Vietnamese government is working with local agencies and organizations on measures to stabilize their lives and provide jobs, he said.

The Ambassador also asked the governments of Bahrain, Manta and Tunisia to allow Việt Nam’s aircrafts to fly over their airspaces to bring Vietnamese workers home in the next few days.
