VN to have fund for rice production & export

The MoF is responsible for collecting comments of other ministries and localities to finalize the plan on and report to the Prime Minister for consideration and issuance.

Earlier, the VFA and 13 local Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development in the Mekong Delta on inked a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in rice production under the large-scale paddy field model.

Under the model, the company purchases rice paddy from farmers who use its products, and then appoints agricultural engineers to provide technical assistance to those farmers.

This helps raise the overall quality of the product, offering better returns for improved financial security as well as eliminating value leakage through intermediaries./.
