VN welcomes new British PM

VNGOP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng sent a congratulatory message on June 28 to Mr. Gordon Brown who was just appointed as the PM of the United Kingdom.

On the same day, answering correspondents' question about Gordon Brown's appointment, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lê Dũng said: "Vietnam congratulates Mr. Gordon Brown on his appointment as the British PM."

Over the past years, Vietnam and the UK have seen positive developments in their friendship and multifaceted cooperation, said the Spokesman. "Vietnam believes that this relationship can be further enhanced for the benefit of the two peoples as well as for the cooperation, peace and development in the region and the world at large", concluded Mr. Lê Dũng.
