Việt Nam’s commercial affairs agency in Cambodia just announced that there are ten types of Việt Nam’s exports in Cambodia having high turnover and large market shares, include steel, agricultural machines, fertilizers, pesticides, industrial products for consumption, processed agricultural products, milk, sea food, and petroleum.

Of which, sea food makes up 80% of the market share, steel 68%, processed agricultural products 67%, while the others account for 45-60% of the market.

To speed up the introduction of Vietnamese exports to the neighbor markets, 120 Vietnamese enterprises have already set up their representative offices or showrooms in Phnom Penh, the Kingdom’s capital city.

Last year, the two-way trade turnover between Việt Nam and Cambodia reached by around US $1.7 billion, (US $400 million higher than 2007). Việt Nam’s export and import values were worth over US $1.45 billion and US $250 million respectively.

Since 2004, the numbers of Việt Nam’s exports to Cambodia yearly increase by 40% while export turnover is five times higher than the import figure.
