The two Prime Ministers and their spouses visited Thap But (pen tower), Dai Nghien (ink slab tower), The Huc Bridge, Ngoc Son Temple, and learned about the legend of Hoan Kiem Lake.

On the occasion of the 2024 New Year and the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Dragon, Prime Minister Pham presented his Lao counterpart with a calligraphy with Vietnamese words which read Viet Nam-Laos friendship is forever green and solid for generations.

Legend has it that King Le Loi returned his magic sword to the Golden Turtle in the lake after defeating the Ming Empire.

Hoan Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son Temple on the lake was recognized as a special national relic site in 2013.

After their trip, the two Prime Ministers and their spouses had an exchange with Vietnamese and Lao students.

After that, Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and his spouse wrapped up their successful official visit to Viet Nam on January 6-7./.
