Prime Minister Pham appreciated the international financial institution's support for and cooperation with Viet Nam over the past time, particularly its policy recommendations and funding, which have made effective contributions to socio-economic development and poverty reduction in the Southeast Asian country.

Banga congratulated on Viet Nam's recent economic achievements, affirming the World Bank will continue support and assistance for Viet Nam – one of its important partner.

He highly valued the Vietnamese Government's efforts and determination in green transition, climate change response and sustainable development.

Banga suggested Viet Nam mull over joining the global carbon markets, pledging to help Viet Nam realize climate commitments.

Viet Nam and the World Bank are discussing loans of US$5-7 billion over the past three years to deploy projects on development of renewable energy, one million hectare high-quality, low-emission rice, climate change, digital transformation, and green transition./.
